Kozeny-Wagner provided general contracting services for the The Whitecliff Park Aquatic Center located in Crestwood, Missouri. The aquatic center consists of a competition pool, lazy river, play pools, splash pool, bathhouse, post tensioned concrete tennis courts, multi-purpose court, overlook pavilion and tennis pavilion.
The project was very tight with bathhouse and competition pool, blocking access to the rest of the aquatic complex. Due to the site constraints, the project was phased with the bathhouse and competition pool constructed in Phase I.
The lazy river created a similar situation, cutting off access for the construction of the splash pools and pool decks. To overcome this problem, we constructed a temporary bridge, capable of supporting fully loaded concrete trucks.
Placing concrete was also a challenge due to several buried tanks, underground utilities and pool excavations throughout the site. Kozeny-Wagner selected the most cost-effective solution for each location; either temporary bridges for concrete truck access, concrete pump trucks with boom arms or concrete conveyors.
