Harris-Stowe Early Childhood / Education Center

  • A new state-of-the-art childcare facility, hands-on teaching laboratory and parenting education center provides two functions: a Child-Development Center designed to serve up to 140 children, and a Higher Education college-level classroom area with capacity for 340 students. Project elements include nine child-development classrooms, "gross motor skills" room, extensive courtyard playground, four conference rooms, eight higher education classrooms, full-service kitchen, eight offices, storage and parent library. 

    This project has been registered with the USGBC and is LEED Silver certified. With respect to the LEED requirements this project contained the largest square footage of pervious concrete poured to date within the St. Louis construction market.

University of Missouri Journalism Institute

  • Sircal-Kozeny-Wagner, a joint venture, was selected by the University of Missouri-Columbia to provide construction services for the Journalism Institute.  The 70,883 Sq. Ft. project required the complete gut and renovation of two historic building plus new construction of a four-story link building connecting the two existing structures.  The facility houses workspaces, classrooms, coffee shop, library, conference space, offices, public reception and exhibit area, amphitheater and a TV studio.

UMSL Oak Hall Residence Facility

  • Oak Hall, on the campus of the University of Missouri St. Louis, is a six-story, 133,000 sq. ft. facility. This new state-of-the-art residence hall houses approximately 430 students in apartment-style suites. The facility also includes an outdoor pool, computer room, convenient store, community kitchen and dining room, game room, fitness center, mailroom, laundry facilities and storage areas.

Saint Gerard Majella Parish

  • The Archdiocese of St. Louis, along with Saint Gerard Majella Parish, selected Kozeny-Wagner as general contractor for an expansion project at Saint Gerard Majella Church and School. The new facilities include 13 classrooms, school offices, a cafeteria and kitchen, a new church gathering area and eucharistic adoration chapel. Total new space is 45,000 sq ft. and total renovated space is 26,000 sq ft.

Challenger Learning Center

  • Kozeny-Wagner transformed an abandoned daycare facility into the Challenger Learning Center.  The 8,638 Sq. Ft. Center features an out-of-this-world design incorporating a simulated space shuttle, space station and mission control.

  • The new 250,000 Sq. Ft. education facility has separate grade-level wings that each house science and core classrooms.  A media center, competitive and practice gyms, swimming pool, parent-infant facility and multiple parking areas complete the space.

St. Mark Catholic School and Parish

  • This project is a 12,500 Sq. Ft. Parish Center addition for St. Mark Catholic School and Parish. The facility includes a new gymnasium for school/church sports and events plus new restrooms which will be adjoined to the existing building. A new parking lot has also been constructed to add space for the additional use of the building.

Ursuline Convocation & Athletic Center

  • The 24,000 Sq. Ft. Convocation and Athletic Center project boasts and 11,000 Sq. Ft. gymnasium which is used for baskeball, volleyball, mass and assemblies.  The facility also includes a fitness room and reception hall for campus events.

St. Mary's High School Baseball Complex

  • Kozeny-Wagner was selected by the Archdiocese of St. Louis to construct a new baseball complex for St. Mary's High School. The project was split into two phases. Phase I included demolition of a vacant apartment complex on the newly acquired property, removal of debris and heavy site work. Phase II included cast-in place concrete for dugouts, the retaining wall between dugouts and backstop and foundations for brick piers. Masonry piers, sod, irrigation system, warning track, decorative perimeter fencing, laser cut decorative signage and custom design interlocking concrete pavers at the fields entry.
