Community Involvement Minimize

Just as Kozeny-Wagner improves a community’s quality of life through the projects it builds, we also strive to be a good neighbor through our community involvement. Whether it’s promoting the construction industry or raising money for local charities, Kozeny-Wagner is proud of the company-wide participation of its employees and their families.

GOLF FUNDRAISER | Kozeny-Wagner hosted a charity golf tournament at Sunset Country Club in Sunset Hills, Missouri, on August 27, 2011. The event raised $10,000 for St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Sponsorship of the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament was the tipping point of this year’s event. We applaud the sponsor-partners for their heartfelt commitment to helping us exceed our fundraising goal. With more than 100 participants and guests in attendance, the tournament provided opportunities for networking, golf contests, raffle drawing and a silent auction. Inspirational stories were shared. Guests at the day-long event included representatives from St. Louis Children’s Hospital, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and employees of Kozeny-Wagner.

“The event was an overwhelming success, and the most rewarding aspect is that through the help of very generous sponsors and tournament participants, a significant amount of money was raised to benefit the children and families who depend on St. Louis Children’s Hospital,” stated Patrick Kozeny, President of Kozeny-Wagner.

KIDSTRUCTION WEEK | Kozeny-Wagner employees will be joining fellow tradespersons across the construction industry in a community-based fundraising program called KIDstruction Week. Employees have been asked to contribute $1/per hour worked during the first week of May 2011 and Kozeny-Wagner has committed to matching their employees' gifts. Funds raised will allow St. Louis Children's Hospital to continue providing the very best pediatric care to kids and families in our community and around the globe. Update (8/01/2011): According to St. Louis Children's Hospital, KIDstruction Week was a sucess! "Thirty two construction companies joined together in a single cause; to build a strong future for children in our community.  More than 1,200 tradespersons donated $1 or more for every hour that they worked during KIDstruction Week.  Along with corporate support from companies like yours our area construction industry has raised nearly $175,000."  says Lee Fetter, President of St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Kozeny-Wagner and it's employees donated more than $4,600 during KIDstruction Week 2011.  Hard hats off to the contracting community on a job well done!
